Sustainable reverse logistic network design for end-of-life use-case study

Due to the increased interests in environmental issues along with stringent legislation and regulations, companies start taking a fresh look at impact on their reverse logistic activties environment. This paper is an example of recovery valuable material that can be recycled/recovered or remanufactured end product useful life by designing effective logistics network. In this study, mixed integer linear programming (MILP) model proposed determine long-term strategy for end-of-life (EOL). The mathematical not only takes into account minimization system operating costs, but also considered carbon emissions related transportation processing used products. Therefore, objective was minimize cost as well minimizing effects these activities. results study show trade-off between costs emissions, effectiveness improving performance, all which have great practical implication decision-making network configurations system. validated examining case from wind turbine (WT) sector.
